Microsoft’s Flight Simulator 2004 A Century of Flight/Google Earth/Spirit of St. Louis

1. Pick a historical flight; have students research the historical significance for presentation.
2. Make the flight and track your progress on Google Earth. Knowledge of latitude and longitude will be practiced when marking your progress.
3. Make comparisons; How did your flight compare to the original? How did it contrast? How did factors such as weather, heading, and fatigue affect your outcome?
4. Prepare presentation on your findings and present them to the class.
5. Watch any historically significant videos of actual flight to close unit.
